This design celebrated the memory of Fr. Ted Hesburgh, C.S.C. who passed away in January of 2015. Father Ted was, by any measure, a Notre Dame legend and the man who provided the vision to transform the institution into a major University. 

He was also a man who enjoyed a fine cigar from time to time, so this box design was inspired by classic cigar box design, right down to the intricate football-inspired patterns on the "tape seams" around the edges.
